Yulia performed the song Together at the Opening Ceremony of the first Winter Paralympic Games ever held in Russia — a major international event hosted by the country for the first time.
The ceremony was directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, the internationally renowned Swiss director behind major theatrical and circus productions, who was specially invited to Russia to stage the event. Finzi Pasca personally selected Yulia to take part in the ceremony.
For his anniversary concert at the State Kremlin Palace, Iosif Kobzon personally chose Yulia as his duet partner.
Together they performed Nadezhda (Hope), one of the most iconic songs of his repertoire.
It was more than an opportunity to share the stage with a legend of Russian music. It was a personal recognition from an artist whose name became an integral part of the history of Russian popular music.

Yulia was selected to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest for two consecutive years.
After Russia’s participation in the 2017 contest in Kyiv did not take place, Channel One once again entrusted Yulia with representing the country, this time at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon.
Yulia’s Eurovision story attracted widespread international attention and was covered by major media outlets around the world.
Yulia was one of 27 artists who took part in #LIVE (#ЖИТЬ), a major social music project that brought together prominent Russian musicians around a shared message: the value of human life.
The project received a powerful public response. The song and music video continued to resonate long after their original release, returning to national television at moments when messages of support, compassion and unity carried particular significance.
Yulia has performed at the State Kremlin Palace, on Red Square, and at major national and sporting events across Russia.
She has performed the National Anthem of the Russian Federation on numerous occasions, including live television broadcasts and events attended by the President of Russia.
Yulia and Gosha Kutsenko share a long-standing creative partnership encompassing original songs, duets, music videos and television performances.
For many years, Yulia has also participated in charitable projects organized by Gosha Kutsenko’s Step Together Foundation, which supports children with cerebral palsy.
In addition to writing music and lyrics for her own repertoire, Yulia has written songs performed by other artists.
Light, written by Yulia Samoilova, became part of Kristina Orbakaite’s repertoire.
Yulia Samoilova serves on the Board of Trustees of the Circle of Kindness Foundation, established by a decree of the President of Russia to support children with severe and rare diseases.
Her appointment followed years of public advocacy, including raising awareness of access to modern treatment for people with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). Yulia publicly appealed to the President of Russia regarding access to costly treatment for adults living with SMA.
Today, her role on the Board of Trustees allows her to continue this work at a systemic level.
